THE MOUNTAIN’S STORY
Snowboarders come down talking about fresh snow as if it were news, because it is. The Boy walks the edge of the run. A helmet has been left on a post. He does not take it. The Polar Bear will not step onto the packed snow where the boards have cut it. It prefers the untracked side, and so, after a while, does the Boy.
Stay: Edge of the run
Tomorrow: The road, and the fog on it.
