THE MOUNTAIN’S STORY
The Shoreline Market Hall has become an October gathering: food, lanterns, music, games. The Boy collects a seasonal token. The Polar Bear becomes briefly famous. At Ridgepoint Pizza Co. the Bear ends up with an enormous pizza and nobody makes a speech about it. The Boy buys supplies for the next stretch. After dark an old fisherman says a small boat is waiting somewhere along the shore. The Bear looks toward the water.
