The Polar Bear leads the Boy to a cabin buried in fallen leaves. Inside are old maps of Mountain to Shore. The walls hold photographs, postcards, and memories of previous October Fests. He recognises places from this journey. The cabin is not abandoned. Someone has been keeping it. A fresh fire is waiting.
