THE MOUNTAIN’S STORY
Snow reaches the lower slopes, thin and serious. In one shop window a string of warm-white lights appears. Not Christmas. A hint, the way a coat is a hint of weather. Bells, if there are bells, are far. The Polar Bear leaves a paw in the first dusting and does not look back at it. The Boy does.
Stay: Window with snow
Tomorrow: The fire after the snow.
