A great many people go to the lookout on the same afternoon. Not a parade. A shared hour. The telescope is busy and then free. The beanie from day 4 is gone. A new postcard says only: Still here. The Polar Bear is a white pause on the path below, and for once nobody rushes it. The mountain can hold a crowd without becoming one.
